This Privacy Policy explains how ImgPress Pro (the “App”, “we”, “us”) accesses, uses, and protects information when you install and use the App on your Shopify store. ImgPress Pro compresses your product images to reduce file sizes and help your storefront load faster.
By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
This policy applies to merchants who install ImgPress Pro and to the staff accounts that use it. The App is an internal merchant tool: it works with your product catalog and product images. It does not collect, store, or process your customers’ personal information.
To provide the App’s features, we access the following data through Shopify’s APIs:

We require the write_products permission (which includes read access) so the App can
list your product images and replace them with optimized versions. We do not request access to
orders, customers, or payment information.
When you compress an image, the App downloads the original image from Shopify’s CDN, re-encodes it to a smaller file on our server, uploads the optimized version back to your product as new media, and removes the original. The image data is processed transiently during this operation and is not retained on our servers beyond the time needed to produce and upload the optimized file. The App never replaces an image with a larger file.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.
Paid plans are processed through Shopify Billing. We do not collect or store your payment-card details; Shopify handles all payment processing and is the source of truth for your subscription status.
We do not sell your data. We share data only as needed to run the App:
shop/redact webhook, typically 48 hours after uninstall), we permanently delete everything we hold for your store — optimization records, usage counts, settings, and session data.customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks have no customer data to return or erase.We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for data in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you are located. Where required, we take steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.
Depending on your location (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the data we hold about your store, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in Section 12. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
The App is a business tool intended for merchants and is not directed to children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
